Valentine’s Day only comes once a year. You could do the standard fare, visit a romantic restaurant and perhaps buy a dozen roses. Another option would be to take your partner on a journey to the days of royalty and true romanticism.
Masquerade Balls are no longer just a thing of the past. This Valentine’s Day indulge in a romantic night of mystery and intrigue at the Pallazo Nightclub in Central Phoenix. The Masquerade Ball is being held at 9 p.m. Valentine’s Day and is open to couples and Phoenicians living the single life as well.
The dress code is formal and heavily enforce, but who wouldn’t want to look good when they have the potential to meet their new Valentine!
Masquerade Balls have long been shrouded in mystery and romanticism, with the first events sprouting up in the 15th century. The events were originally held for royalty and often accompanied joyous celebrations such as weddings or birthdays. During the Italian Renaissance masquerade balls became public affairs and were often held with a parade and live music.
In the 21st century, masquerade balls have become something of a staple in popular culture with references in Tom Cruise’s film Eyes Wide Shut.
The February event is sure to be filled with sexy, fun adventures with DJ Xclusive playing the hottest hip-hop and dance music. Fans of reality television will be surprised to learn that Shay Johnson star of Love and Hip Hop of Atlanta will be making a guest appearance at the event.
